Cookie-Policy

Effective Date: November 19, 2025
Last Updated: November 19, 2025

This Cookie Policy explains how Pinnacle Wound Care (“we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website (https://pinnaclewc.com/) (the “Website”). It is intended to provide you (“you”, “your”, “visitor” or “user”) with clear and transparent information in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), the ePrivacy Directive, and applicable U.S. and state privacy laws.

If you have any questions about this policy, please contact our Privacy Officer at info@pinnaclewc.com.

  1. What are cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, mobile device, tablet) when you visit a website. They help the website recognise your device on subsequent visits, remember your preferences, and improve your experience. Some cookies also collect information about your browsing behaviour. These technologies include cookies, local storage, web beacons, pixels, scripts, and other tracking technologies.

Under the GDPR, cookies that track or identify users may be treated as processing of personal data.

  1. Legal basis and consent

For visitors from the EU/EEA, non-essential cookies (analytics, marketing, personalization) will only be placed once you have freely given, informed, specific, and unambiguous consent, via an affirmative action (such as clicking “Accept” or selecting preferences).

Essential cookies (strictly necessary for the operation of the Website) are exempt from the consent requirement but are still described here for transparency.

You may withdraw or change your consent at any time, and we will respect your choice. Withdrawal of consent is as easy as supplying consent in the first place.

  1. Categories of cookies we use

Here is an overview of the types of cookies we use on this Website, their purposes, providers, and retention periods. Please note that actual cookies in use may change over time (for example, if we add new functionality or third-party services). You should review this policy periodically.

Cookie Category  Purpose  Provider  Typical Retention
Strictly Necessary / Essential Cookies  These are required for the Website to operate properly (e.g., to enable login, secure area access, load balancing). You cannot opt out of these if you wish to use the Website.  Pinnacle Wound Care / our hosting provider  Session or up to [e.g., 12 months]
Performance / Analytics Cookies  These allow us to measure and understand how visitors use the Website (for example, page views, popular pages, error messages) so that we can improve it. These do not typically identify you personally, but they may still process your IP address or unique identifiers.  Google Analytics (or other analytics service)  [e.g., 13 months]
Functional / Preference Cookies  These remember choices you make (e.g., language preference, region) so the Website can be more tailored for you.  Various third-party services or our own systems  [e.g., 12 months or longer]
Marketing / Advertising Cookies  These collect information about your browsing habits (e.g., across sites) to deliver relevant adverts or to limit the number of times you see an advert. They may also help evaluate the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. These cookies require your consent.  Third-party advertising networks, social plug-ins, remarketing services  Usually 6-24 months or more

Note: The exact cookie names, providers, categories, and retention periods may vary – in some cases we rely on third parties whose cookies we cannot fully control. We commit to updating this policy when changes occur.

  1. How to give or withdraw consent

On your first visit to the Website (or after clearing cookies) a cookie banner or consent management tool will be presented. You may:

  • Accept all non-essential cookies
  • Decline all non-essential cookies
  • Choose specific categories (for example permit analytics but decline marketing)

You may update your preferences at any time by clicking the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer (or equivalent) of the Website, or via your browser settings.

If you withdraw consent for a category of non-essential cookies, we will disable those cookies and their associated functionalities as soon as possible.

  1. Browser and device controls

You can control cookies via your web browser settings (for example, Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). You can block or delete cookies from your device. Please note that blocking or deleting certain cookies may affect your experience of the Website and may prevent you from accessing certain features.

For more information on browser cookie controls, refer to your browser provider’s documentation.

  1. Third-party cookies and disclosure

Some cookies on our Website are placed by third-party services (e.g., analytics providers, advertising networks, social media plug-ins). These cookies may enable those third parties to identify your device and browsing behaviour across different websites.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties for their marketing purposes. We do share data with third parties only when permitted by your consent or required for the service.

We recommend you review the cookie and privacy policies of those third parties for more details.

  1. Data retention and usage

We retain cookie-related identifiers and associated data only as long as needed for the purpose. The retention periods are set out in the table above.

If a cookie is tied to personal data or profiling activity, the processing is subject to GDPR’s data minimisation and storage limitation principles. We periodically audit our cookies and tracking technologies to ensure compliance with these principles.

  1. Your rights under GDPR

If you are a visitor in the EU/EEA, in addition to the right to withdraw consent, you have the following rights under the GDPR with respect to any personal data processed from cookies:

  • Right to access the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to erasure (right to be forgotten) when lawful
  • Right to restrict processing in certain circumstances
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to object to processing (including profiling)
  • Right to lodge a complaint with your competent supervisory authority

If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@pinnaclewc.com and we will respond in accordance with applicable law.

  1. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time (for example, when we introduce new services, features, or third-party providers, or in response to legal/regulatory developments).

When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above and publish the revised policy on our Website. We will also ensure that any new non-essential cookies require fresh consent.

Devin Sessions, MD, CWSP, PCHM

Meet Doctor Sessions

Dr. Sessions, a native Arkansan from DeQueen, began her medical journey at the University of Central Arkansas, earning a Bachelor’s degree in biology. Following medical school graduation from UAMS, she relocated to Dallas, Texas, for a Family Medicine residency. During her final year of residency, an elective rotation in wound care ignited her passion for the field. Post-residency, she continued training in wound care and hyperbaric medicine at Medical City Dallas Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center, eventually assuming the role of attending physician.

Returning to Arkansas in 2020, Dr. Sessions has continued to provide specialized wound care and hyperbaric medicine services. She opened her own clinic, Pinnacle Wound Care, in the summer of 2024.

Dr. Sessions is a Certified Wound Specialist Physician (CWSP) though the American Board of Wound Management, she has earned the Physician Certification in Hyperbaric Medicine (PCHM) through the American Board of Wound Healing, and she is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician.
